Ability to teach General Biology courses for Science majors and non-Science majors through traditional, hybrid, and online course delivery, to successfully recruit students for the Biology program, and to lead students to success.

1. Teach assigned courses in the curriculum; 2. Teach face-to-face, online, hybrid, and other classes as needed, using Odessa College instructional technologies including Blackboard Collaborate; 3. Lead and actively participate in student recruitment, advising, and retention activities as well as participate in various departmental and campus-wide committees and initiatives; 4. Become an active member of our community through participation in community events, engagement in community service, and development of effective relationships with professionals throughout the community; 5. Teach CollegeNOW® and CollegeNOW® Academy (Dual Credit) classes; and 6. Perform other duties as assigned.

Master’s degree with 18 or more graduate hours in Biology from a regionally accredited institution; Demonstrated knowledge in the use of current and emerging technologies for instruction; Ability to teach all courses in the Biology curriculum; Ability to teach students from a wide spectrum of ages and from diverse cultural and social backgrounds; and Ability to inspire, motivate and empower students to succeed.
